Today we are unveiling the biggest update yet, bringing even more enhancements, assistance, and AI-powered intelligence from Google to the Pixel Buds Pro. The Pixel Buds Pro are designed to work seamlessly across the complete Pixel lineup, and they will also come in two new colors, Bay and Porcelain, perfectly matching the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2.
Clearer Call Audio
The Pixel Buds Pro come equipped with the necessary AI to provide an enjoyable audio experience. Building on the excellent call quality features from last year’s launch, the Pixel Buds Pro now support Bluetooth Super Wideband on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which doubles the bandwidth of audio, making your voice fuller, clearer, and more natural than ever.
This wider range also extends to more transparent calls, as it reduces background noise around the other person on the call, amplifying their voice so you can hear them more clearly.
Start a Conversation Hands-Free
Thanks to AI, you no longer need to take your earbuds out to have conversations. When conversation detection is enabled, the AI detects when you start talking and responds by pausing the music and switching to transparency mode, allowing you to hear everything being said. When you stop talking, it automatically resumes the music and reactivates the active noise cancellation feature. This way, you can engage with the world around you and return to enjoying your music without any distraction, without lifting a finger.
Reduce Gaming Latency by Up to 50%
Pixel Buds Pro provide a more immersive and dynamic gaming experience by reducing the fundamental latency in gameplay via Bluetooth technology. Available with the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, the Pixel Buds Pro reduce the delay in transmitting audio from your phone to the earbuds for compatible gaming on your Pixel phone.
Maintain Hearing Health
You can now understand and assess your listening behavior and receive suggestions on how to maintain your hearing health over time. Through the Pixel Buds Pro app, you can access a log of your listening habits, which will inform you when it’s time to lower the volume.
Pixel Buds App for Chromebooks
Pixel Buds Pro are designed to work wonderfully across the complete Pixel lineup and with other Android phones, and now the Pixel Buds app is available on Chromebooks. Through the web app, you can adjust your earbuds’ settings, toggle noise control modes, and install software updates, all from your Chromebook.
Software updates will begin rolling out today for both new and existing Pixel Buds Pro users.

Starting today, you can pre-order Google Pixel Buds Pro or pick them up in-store starting October 12. The Google Pixel Buds Pro come in the latest colors, priced starting at $299, and are available at the Google Store, Telstra, JB Hi-Fi, Optus, Officeworks, and Harvey Norman.
