Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First Program

In August, we began accepting applications for the “Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First” program to find startups using artificial intelligence to tackle the unique challenges facing Africa, while simultaneously providing solutions on a global level.

Selected Companies to Participate in the Program

We are happy to announce the selected companies to participate in the program, which are:

  • Avalon Health (South Africa): Enables patients to access healthcare online and provides digital tools for doctors to improve healthcare.
  • Chatbots Africa (Ghana): Leads small and medium-sized enterprises into the era of social commerce through AI-powered online stores.
  • Dial Afrika Inc (Kenya): Provides customer support tools for global companies, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises in Africa.
  • Famasi Africa (Nigeria): Innovates an operating system for pharmacies in emerging markets.
  • Fastagger Inc (Kenya): Uses artificial intelligence to increase sales and loyalty, supporting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
  • Garri Logistics (Ethiopia): Develops digital shipping and transport services.
  • Izifin (Nigeria): Provides end-to-end credit infrastructure through an API for small businesses.
  • Lengo AI (Senegal): Launches the first data-driven operating system for the informal sector.
  • Logistify AI (Uganda): Reduces inventory losses in industrial facilities.
  • Telliscope (Ethiopia): Provides an AI platform for business intelligence.
  • Vzy (Nigeria): Revolutionizes website building through AI-driven tools.

Benefits of the Program for Participating Companies

Once these companies embark on their 10-week intensive program journey, they will benefit not only from Google’s expertise in artificial intelligence and $350,000 in Google Cloud Credits but also from mentorship sessions, specialized technical insights, and extensive networking opportunities that await them to help expand their horizons and enhance their impact.
