Since then, we have noticed how India has embraced our ongoing innovations in smartphones, as reflected in the encouraging feedback from our partners and our growing family of #TeamPixel.
Today, we see an even greater opportunity to provide Pixel phones to more people in India, and we are very excited to announce our plan to manufacture Pixel phones in India. We intend to start with the Pixel 8 and will collaborate with both international and local manufacturers to produce Pixel phones locally. We expect those devices to start appearing in 2024, joining the “Make in India” initiative.

India is a priority market for Pixel phones, and we are committed to delivering our best devices and embedded software capabilities to people across the country. In recent years, India has established itself as a true global manufacturing hub, leading to a thriving environment for business growth.
Enhancing the Pixel Phone Experience
At the same time, we have continued to enhance the Pixel phone experience, working diligently to expand the Pixel service network across the country. Thanks to our local partner – F1 Info Solutions – we now have 28 service centers in 27 cities across India, and we will expand coverage to more locations and cities.
Expanding Device Production Capacity
Since the beginning of our device business, we have been committed to building and investing for the long term. This is an early step in a long journey to expand our device production capacity and help meet the growing demand for Pixel phones in the country.
