If you run a blog, you’ve probably reached the point where you need a last-minute article to keep up your content publishing pace. Here are 5 tips that may help you prepare an article very quickly (like this article).
1. Write an Article with a List of 5 Ideas
People love lists and tips, especially in blogs. They are easy to read and digest, making them perfect for web browsing or scanning your RSS reader. This article is an example of that.
2. Publish a List of Links
Linking is the currency of blogging, and if you link to other blogs, they will notice (at least the good ones should notice, except for the large/popular blogs that get a lot of traffic). Here’s an example of an article that contains a list of links.
3. Share a Recent Experience
Did something interesting happen to you recently? Was it relevant to your blog’s topic? Write a blog post about a recent experience, like this article I wrote about a spam email I received.
4. Answer Recent Questions You’ve Received
We all receive questions via phone or email from customers and potential clients in our field of expertise. Gather some of them and publish a blog post that answers these questions. Here’s an example of a blog post that answers some questions. A great tip is to start with the actual question you received via email and answer it, then edit it so it’s more general and not client-specific.
5. Comment on Other Blog Posts
Need ideas? Read other blogs in your industry, then provide your own perspective on the topic at hand. Here’s an example of a blog post that responds to another blog post.
