McRae shared, “We wrote the song “exes” on the last day of the album making process. It was like the final celebration that Ryan Tedder and I wrote in a real 30 minutes. It talks about my flaws in relationships and some of my negatives and tendencies that self-destruct. The music video was so insane to shoot – dancing that much with amazing girls was a dream.”
