Review of Creative Aurvana Ace 2 Headphones: Vibrant Sound and Excellent Build Quality

New Design for the Dual Driver System

The Creative Aurvana Ace 2 true wireless earbuds come with a sleek design and are available in black. The earbuds feature large drivers and the xMEMS technology works alongside the 10mm dynamic drivers to deliver a frequency range between 5 Hz and 40 kHz, which is significantly wider than the typical range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The solid xMEMS drivers are capable of generating high frequencies with greater accuracy and speed, relying on printing technology (like silicon chips) and boasting a more stable structure between the units, as they do not depend on multiple moving parts like most dynamic drivers do.

Creative Aurvana Ace 2 App Experience

The Creative app (available for both Android and iOS) provides battery readings for each earbud on the main screen, but not for the case. Sections such as an equalizer, environmental controls, and customization are found below that, along with a release button that lets you remove any of these sections. You can also change the order in which they appear.

Average Active Noise Cancellation Performance

In noise cancellation tests, the earbuds do well in reducing strong resonance at low frequencies, although some is still audible. When playing a recording of a busy restaurant, the earbuds reduce low and mid frequencies while allowing most high frequencies to pass through without significant alteration. The lower-priced Soundcore Liberty 4 NC earbuds perform better in both scenarios, with a significant advantage in reducing low frequencies.

Dynamic Sound and Weak Microphone

The earbuds provide strong, clear sound thanks to the synergy between xMEMS technology and dynamic drivers. We appreciate the wide options and high-quality encoding with customizable equalizers. However, the average noise cancellation performance and the fuzzy microphone performance are hard to overlook given the price. Still, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC remains the better choice in this price range as they are cheaper and offer stronger sound quality with better noise cancellation.
