One of Italy’s Most Dangerous Criminals Arrested During Celebration
One of Italy’s most wanted criminals was arrested during a party, according to the Italian police on Thursday, while another criminal was apprehended while shopping at a supermarket.
Criminal Number One: Gaetano Angrisano
Gaetano Angrisano, 31, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking 18 months ago and was on the “100 Most Dangerous Fugitives” list of the Italian Ministry of the Interior, according to Naples police.
Criminal Number Two: A 52-Year-Old Man
A 52-year-old man was arrested in the town of Torvaianica, a coastal town south of Rome, who was sentenced in November to over 20 years in prison for mafia association, arms trafficking, and drug trafficking, according to police.

The police managed to capture Gaetano Angrisano after locating him at a party in a residential complex on Wednesday, where about 250 officers surrounded the neighborhood so that no one could enter or exit. The police stated: “He was expelled from the venue. Angrisano, who was invited to the party, had to leave his friends and relatives after cutting the cake.”

The 52-year-old man was spotted in the Lazio region while shopping at a supermarket and was immediately arrested. He was considered a key figure in organized crime in the Salento area in the early 2000s, according to police.
