Python Boost: A New Image Tool Revealing Complex Data
The image display and data analysis program NAPARI has bridged the gap in the scientific system of programming languages.
Introduction
Josh Dorrington is skilled at viewing air streams. He maps the fast-moving rivers of air at different atmospheric levels and places the graphs side by side. Dorrington, an atmospheric physicist at the University of Oxford in the UK, says, “You get really good at looking at all these intersecting sectors and figuring out what that means.” However, compared to computerized visualizations, this “manual” method is slower and “not nearly as interactive.”
