Forms and Declarations
This page contains links to various forms that you will need to fill out before your paper can be published. Author Listing
Competing Interests
Please include a declaration of competing interests at the end of your manuscript text. The competing interests policy for Nature will be outlined here.
Publishing License
The Nature Portfolio journals do not require authors to transfer copyright of their published contributions for original research. Authors grant Springer Nature an exclusive license to publish, and in return, they can reuse their papers in their future printed works without needing permission from the publisher.
Structures
Authors publishing cryo-EM and NMR data and X-ray crystallography will need to download and fill out the appropriate forms to include them as extended data tables.
Reprints
Once your proofs have returned, you and your co-authors can request printed reprints using Nature Research’s reprint service. You can also request copies of the issue in which your paper was published, cover reprints, PDF files, and other types of reprints using this service.
Policy Reminder
Nature authors must make data and materials available upon publication. This includes depositing data in relevant databases and arranging for them to be publicly released on the online publication date (not after). A description of our initiative to improve transparency and the reproducibility of published results is available here. A full description of Nature’s publishing policies can be found on the Nature Research Authors & Referees website.
