Researchers Express Dismay Over New Funding Policy from the U.S. Medical Agency
Researchers have expressed their dissatisfaction with a new policy issued by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States to tighten oversight on its “subgrants.” These grants are funds that the primary recipient of the grant can award to a partner to conduct research on their behalf. The effective medical funding policy starting October 1 stipulates that foreign recipients of subgrants will be subject to additional oversight.
